You need those temperature gradients to be perfect, or you&amp;rsquo;re left with internal stress that ruins the whole batch. The problem is that in those massive tunnel kilns, standard lamps just don&amp;rsquo;t cut it. They leave cold spots. It&amp;rsquo;s frustrating.&#xA;That&amp;rsquo;s why we started building custom infrared heating units that stretch past 2 meters.&lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;h2 id=&#34;the-struggle-with-long-tubes&#34;&gt;The struggle with long tubes&lt;/h2&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;Here&amp;rsquo;s the thing: when you scale a lamp up to over 2 meters, physics starts fighting you. Voltage drop becomes a nightmare. If you aren&amp;rsquo;t careful, the ends of the tube run cooler than the middle, and suddenly your heat isn&amp;rsquo;t uniform.&#xA;We fix this by obsessing over the wattage and voltage specs. We want a steady, even flow of heat from end to end.&#xA;We also use high-purity quartz glass because it can actually handle the thermal expansion. But quartz is tricky. If you don&amp;rsquo;t support the tube every few hundred millimeters, the heat and the weight will make it sag. And once it sags, it burns out. Fast.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
